    From nelgin@VERT/EOTLBBS to DOVE-Net.Synchronet_Discussion on Mon Jun 8 21:10:06 2026
Does anyone know of an editor that'll work with Synchronet (16 bit dos
will do). I've had a user talking about it in jest but wondered if
    there's something out there?

The 'joe' editor in Linux uses Wordstar style commands.

can it be configured for BBS users to use without allowing access to files they should not have access to?

Good question, and one that I do not know the answer to. Would have to restrict it to only being used for message drafting, or whatever.
Hopefully somebody knows more and will jump in here.

    There is rjoe

Cannot use the -rc option to load custom configurations

Cannot edit any files other than those specified on the command line

Cannot use internal menus to browse or open new files

Cannot use "Save As" to write data to alternative paths

Cannot use shell escapes (^K Z) to drop back to the terminal

Cannot spawn external sub-shells from inside the editor

Cannot pipe text into external shell commands or filters

Cannot run inline shell inclusions during initialization

This is fucking dovenet. 99% of the time the subject line doesn't pertain
to what the msg body says. why didn't binky put it in the msg body?

maybe leave the snark and childish name calling elsewhere, too... i mean...

fuck off, get off nelgin's dick. shouldnt you be flooding a msg network with your gateway?

are you the guy that binky was asking for?
go on vert and look through the msg editors in the file base.

furthermore someone can take fsedit and change it around.
